AI Stocks Are Doing the Heavy Lifting Today

The stock market turned to an old trick to kick off 2026 trading, but early gains didn't last long.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 140 points, or 0.3%, while the S&P 500 was flat. The Nasdaq Composite was up 0.2%.
