Battle of the Sexes 2025: Sunday, December 28
Kyrgios vs Sabalenka start time: 11am ET / 4pm GMT
Watch the Battle of Sexes 2025 live streams as Aryna Sabalenka takes on Nick Kyrgios as the concept made popular in the 1970s gets reimagined with a modern twist. A three-set match, featuring a specially adapted court at the Coca-Cole Arena in Dubai, it's the perfect tennis exhibition for some Christmas holiday viewing.
Sabalenka has been the dominant force on the WTA Tour for the past two years, winning two Australian Open and two US Open titles. She has the power game to do damage, while Kyrgios will be hitting into a specially adapted court on Sabalenka's side that is 9% smaller than a regular court, to allow for the male player's natural size advantage.
Languishing down in the 600s after a nightmare few years with injury, Kyrgios is using the event as part of his attempts to get some matches under his belt – and eyeballs back on himself – before attempting a comeback at the Brisbane Open next year. He'll hope for a wild card, fitness permitting, for the Australian Open, too.
"Whoever wins, wins," said Sabalenka. "It's so obvious that the man is biologically stronger than the woman, but it's not about that. This event is only going to help bring women's tennis to a higher level."
"When a world No.1 challenges you," said Kyrgios, "you answer the call."

Billie Jean King beat Bobby Riggs 6-4, 6-3, 6-3 in the Battle of the Sexes, stage in New York in 1973. The match came after Riggs, an ex-pro and by then something of a hustler in his mid-50s, had beaten Margaret Court in the 1971 original for the loss of just three games.
King played a huge role in women's tennis' early attempts to achieve financial and notoriety parity with the men's game. The match had a winner-takes-all $100,000 prize pot.
The match became a touchstone for women's sport in general, and was made into an eponymous 2017 film starring Emma Stone and Steve Carrell.
