Viewers watching Big Fat Quiz of 2025 were left far from impressed - with Channel 4 was urged to 'do better' just minutes into the broadcast.
Hosted by Jimmy Carr, the Boxing Day instalment tested a celebrity panel's knowledge of 2025.
The teams comprised Katherine Ryan & Roisin Conaty, Jonathan Ross & Nick Mohammed, as well as Lou Sanders & Richard Ayoade.
Early in the episode, the group looked back on one of the year's biggest social media trends: creating an AI Barbie doll of yourself.
These were seen all over Instagram, featuring a boxed miniature doll along with items that the person in question regularly uses.
Jimmy, 53, showed off action figures including himself (featuring different faces), Katherine (with a Botox needle), Nick (with two magic wands) and Lou (with healing crystals).
Hosted by Jimmy Carr, Big Fat Quiz of the Year aired on Boxing Day with guests including (l to r): Roisin Conaty, Richard Ayoade, Lou Sanders, Katherine Ryan, Jonathan Ross and Nick Mohammed
During the episode, the panel looked back on the 2025 trend of creating AI dolls of yourself (an example seen here with Katherine Ryan)
Comedian and Celebrity Traitors star Nick also had a doll displayed - which was accompanied by two magic wands
However, some fans were left very displeased with the show's use of AI, as one wrote: 'Disgusted and saddened to see The Big Fat Quiz of the Year using AI to generate gag doll images.
'Images so half-assed that nobody checked the output.
'One of them has two magic wands that don’t look like wands, and Jimmy’s is a recycled tax joke from five years ago.’
Another added: 'I've watched #BigFatQuiz for at least ten years, and five minutes in the shows using AI? way to lose a fan base damn.'
A third chimed in: 'Not even 5 mins in and they’re doing ai slop trends on big fat quiz of the year.'
