Hordes of Brits move abroad in search of a better life - whether that be to escape the cost of living in the UK or the dreary weather.
One British mother decided to relocate to a Spanish island and revealed how she feels about the move.
Holly Smith relocated with her family almost a year ago to Mallorca and reflected on some of the positives she's found in a TikTok video, and the reasons behind the move.
She shared her experience as an expat in the community and penned: 'Because we are all away from 'home' even though this is now home, there is such a sense of security.'
Holly also mentioned the benefits she has enjoyed from the weather and landscapes on the island.
She gushed over the beaches, and the video showed a clip of sunbeds and blue water.
The lifestyle in Mallorca is another positive factor Holly has found, particularly with her children.
'Take your children everywhere with you and they're welcome, in fact they're always catered for. Soft play in a restaurant? You bet!' Holly explained in the caption.

She also delved into how she wanted the chance to 'have a different life' and get away from the 'grey skies' that are seen so often in the UK.
Holly also sought to move from the busy lifestyle that sweeps up so many Britons.
In Mallorca, the mother said 'the pace of life is so much more relaxed' and she has found herself with more time to socialise.
Holly isn't the only person to move away and start a new life abroad, according to data from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) around 992,000 Brits left between 2021 and 2024.
Meanwhile, 252,000 British nationals left between July 2024 and June 2025, Euro Weekly reports.
Diana Winskill, moved to Mallorca back in 1999 when she was 23 years old and has been on the sunny island since.
