Elderly cyclist killed, two teenagers in hospital after hit-and-run
The 83-year-old cyclist died shortly after being struck by a car, while another driver, who allegedly hit two teen e-bike riders, fled into NSW.
An elderly cyclist is dead and two 15-year-old e-bike riders are in hospital with serious injuries after separate crashes on Saturday.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Wynnum and Murarrie roads in Tingalpa about 6am on Saturday following reports of a crash involving a car and an 83-year-old cyclist.

The cyclist, a Balmoral man, was rushed to Princess Alexandra Hospital but passed away a short time later.
The driver of the car, a 50-year-old Murarrie man, was not injured and is helping with a Forensic Crash Unit investigation.
Meanwhile, on the Gold Coast, police were investigating a hit-and-run in Coolangatta overnight that left two teenage girls seriously injured.

A white Mitsubishi Express van was seen travelling west on Marine Parade just after 7pm before colliding with an e-bike travelling east in the bicycle lane on the same road.
The van driver failed to stop to provide assistance to the teenagers, instead fleeing across the NSW border.
The e-bike rider and her passenger, both 15, were taken to Gold Coast University Hospital with serious injuries.
A 40-year-old Urangan man was arrested by NSW Police in Tweed Heads later that night.
Police said an investigation into the crash was continuing, and urged anyone with information to get in contact.
