In late December, the Netanyahu-led coalition made its most aggressive legislative push for a set of laws that would significantly change Israel's judicial and media landscape – a contentious overhaul that was at the heart of the last election in November 2022 and dominated newscycles before Hamas' October 7 attack and the subsequent two-year war.
