Facing jail, predator who threatened to share nude photos of girl with family
A man who paid a teenage girl £500 for naked photos before threatening to share them with her family is facing jail.

A man who paid a teenage girl £500 for naked photos before threatening to share them with her family is facing jail.
Finlay Morrice, 32, struck up a conversation on Instagram with the 13-year-old, who lived in England, but quickly turned the chat sexual.
He begged her to send intimate pictures before sending money in return for 15 images. But when she refused to supply more photos he threatened to share the images with her family.
The girl’s mother discovered what had been going on between September 2020 and May 2021 and told West Mercia Police.
Their investigation led to a raid by Police Scotland on Morrice’s home in Lanark. Morrice appeared at Lanark Sheriff Court and admitted causing the girl to become involved in pornography by causing her to take images of herself in exchange for payment.

He further admitted to permitting or taking indecent images of children between April 2022 and January 2023.
Morrice also pleaded guilty to distributing indecent images of children in April 2022 after police discovered he had swapped pictures with another pervert on Telegram.
Depute fiscal Jack Lindsay told the court that after the girl had received £500 via PayPal and refused to send more images, Morrice ‘sent her screenshots of her family’s online social media platforms and threatened to send them the photos he was already in receipt of’.
Sheriff David Bernard said ‘this is a serious matter’ and deferred sentence until February for reports.
He continued bail for Morrice, who was placed on the sex offenders’ register.
