Fiorentina have completed the signing of winger Manor Solomon from Tottenham Hotspur.
The Athletic reported on Thursday Spurs had reached an agreement to send Solomon on loan to Fiorentina and the Serie A club confirmed the move on Friday.
As part of the deal, the Italian side — who are currently in last place in Serie A — will have the option to make the move permanent.
Solomon, 26, spent the first half of the season on loan at Villarreal, making six La Liga appearances and scoring one goal. That agreement has now been terminated, allowing him to move to Italy.
The Israel international joined Tottenham in 2023 on a free transfer from Shakhtar Donetsk. He made six appearances in all competitions for the club, before suffering a knee injury in October 2023 that required surgery and ended his season.
He would never play another competitive game for Spurs.
He spent last season on loan with Championship side Leeds United, scoring ten goals in 39 appearances and helping the club to finish first and win promotion back to the Premier League.
Fiorentina have also approached Tottenham’s co-sporting director Fabio Paratici about a surprise return to Italy to head up their football operation, a little over two months after his re-appointment at the Premier League club.
