After a couple of weeks of free games being given away daily for the holidays, the Epic Games Store has returned to its usual cadence to start the new year, with another game being made free for the next week. You can currently snag a beloved tower defense game for free.

Bloons TD 6 is the latest entry in Ninja Kiwi's massively popular tower defense series that spun off from its Bloons franchise. In it, you'll pop balloons as they try to invade your tower. It sounds simple, but there's an element of strategy to it that's endeared the Bloons TD games to players. Despite Bloons TD 6 being over seven years old, it keeps getting new updates with additional characters and gameplay features.

Because of its longevity, BloonsTD 6 has racked up quite the positive reception on Steam. It currently sits with over 330,000 "overwhelmingly positive" reviews on the storefront. If you haven't had the chance to check it out yet, there's no better time than now.
