A man has been found dead at a home just three days after he was rushed to hospital with 'assault-related' injuries.
The body of the 41-year-old man was found at a house in Norlane, a northern suburb of Geelong, about 5.30pm on Thursday.
Victoria Police said he was initially taken to hospital on Monday for what appeared to be assault-related injuries.
However, he later left hospital of his own accord.
Officers then visited the home on Robin Avenue three days later, where they found the man dead inside the property.
The exact circumstances surrounding the death have yet to be established.
Homicide detectives have since launched an investigation.
