The 45th edition of the annual tour incorporates the Tour de Ski and the Winter Olympics. Klæbo, who's already the most decorated male skier race winner in World Cup history, could pull level with fellow Norwegian Bjørn Dæhlie on six Crystal Globes, and become the first man to achieve 100 World Cup stage victories. 2023/24 overall champion Harald Østberg Amundsen and Martin Løwstrøm Nyenget look set to run the reigning overall and sprint champion closest.
Back-to-back reigning overall and distance champion Diggins is determined to retire in her prime, and it's tough to see who could compete with her across either discipine. Johanna Hagström and Jonna Sundling, however, are giving the reigning sprint champion Jasmi Joensuu a run for her money.
