Hell’s Kitchen has returned for its 24th season. Titled Battle of the States, this time Gordon Ramsay pits 20 contestants from different U.S. states against one another in the ultimate culinary challenge. At stake is not only regional pride, but also a lip-smacking $250,000 prize and a head chef role at Foxwoods Resort Casino.

After 11 episodes of fiery competition, mental challenges, brutal eliminations, and high-pressure performances, the field has been narrowed down to seven chefs – four on the red team (women) and three on the blue team (men).
The latest episode (Episode 11), titled Charity Dinner from Hell, aired on December 11 and threw contestants into a charity-themed challenge. The blue team ended up on the losing side, with Chef Jayden being eliminated on his birthday. Ouch!
While the 12th episode was originally set to air on December 18, a change in Fox’s primetime schedule means the next episode will now premiere on January 1 at 8pm ET. After that, though, the show is expected to return to its usual Thursday slot.
