Israel's normalization with Syria grows further as Druze and Kurds battle al-Sharaa for control

The U.S.-brokered agreements that Syria and Israel signed in Paris this week are far from a guarantee of peace or normalization between the two countries. They will soon be put to the test – namely, whether Israel in fact stops its air and ground operations in Syria, whether the planned mechanism for intelligence sharing and de-escalation is established in Jordan, whether intelligence flows from Israel to Syria, and whether Syria acts on it and shows results on the ground.
