Only 33 percent of Jewish New Yorkers voted for Mamdani, but the fears of a hostile mayor should now be put to rest. It is crucial to establish good faith ties with his administration – and not to characterize every disagreement as an existential emergency
Now that Zohran Mamdani has formally taken office as the 112th mayor of New York City, the inevitable challenge of transforming soaring campaign rhetoric into policy will doubtless be seized on by critics who believe him inexperienced.
