Texas Democrat Jasmine Crockett was slammed for her 'crocodile tears' as she wept over the death of anti-ICE protester Renee Nicole Good. 

The congresswoman went viral on social media as she was seen growing emotional in a Congressional hearing on Thursday, using the opportunity to slam her Republican colleagues for their response to the ICE shooting the day prior. 

'I'm just asking if there is any decency or heart or courage on that side of the aisle,' she said. 

'The fact that a woman was killed, she was shot in her head, and y'all are pretending like nothing happened.' 

Her voice began to croak as she uttered 'a child has lost her mom...' and put her hand to her face, before composing herself and continuing her speech. 

Crockett then compared the shooting to the assassination of Charlie Kirk in September, saying that in the aftermath of the shooting Democrats 'did not sit there and act like it was okay.' 

'Is it okay because you have a badge?' she continued. 'Because the last time I checked, allegedly no one is above the law.' 

Crockett pointed her finger at Republicans on the other side of the hearing as she questioned: 'Can y'all not just have a little bit of courage and humanity? I am asking if there is anyone that will stand for the very people that elected us.'

After Crockett shared a clip of her rant to X, her post was flooded with responses calling out her dramatic performance - with one saying she didn't 'squeeze out a tear.' 

Conservative influencer Paul Szypula led criticisms of Crockett's performance, writing on X: '(Crockett) fake cries as she shamefully compares how Charlie Kirk was as**ssinated for his free speech with how the terr*rist in Minneapolis was neutralized for trying to run over ICE with her car.' 

'Croc tears from Crock,' added another. 

'Spare us the croc tears @RepJasmine and maybe keep that same energy for the tenfold increase on ICE assaults this year.' 

Another critic branded her speech 'the worst fake cry I've ever seen.' 

The Daily Mail has contacted Crockett's office for comment over the response to her speech about Good's death.
