Brigitte Bardot (obituary, 29 December) inspired Bob Dylan to write his very first song. According to his programme notes for a concert at Carnegie Hall in 1961, Dylan wrote Song to Brigitte at about the age of 15, in the hope he might “sing it to her one day”.
