Make-Up Artists and Hair Stylists Guild Awards Nominations: ‘Frankenstein,’ ‘One Battle After Another,’ ‘Sinners,’ ‘Weapons,’ ‘Wicked: For Good’ Lead Film Nods

On the TV side, 'Dancing With the Stars,' 'Saturday Night Live,' 'Monster: The Ed Gein Story,' 'Stranger Things' and 'Abbott Elementary' scored the most nominations.
The Make-Up Artists and Hair Stylists Guild has revealed the nominations for its 2026 awards. Frankenstein, One Battle After Another, Sinners, Weapons and Wicked: For Good lead the film nominees with three nods apiece. All of those films, apart from Weapons, were listed on the Oscars’ shortlist for the makeup and hairstyling category.
On the TV side, Dancing With the Stars and Saturday Night Live scored four nominations each, including the SNL 50th anniversary special. Monster: The Ed Gein Story, Stranger Things and Abbott Elementary each received three nominations. Best contemporary make-up in a TV series, limited or movie for TV, has six nominations due to a tie in voting.
The MUAHS Awards honor achievements in the artistry and creativity of makeup artists and hairstylists across entertainment platforms. In addition to the competitive awards, Oscar-nominated and Emmy-winning makeup artist Greg Nelson and Oscar-nominated hairstylist Judy Alexander Cory will receive lifetime achievement awards. And Emmy-nominated makeup artist Michael Johnson will receive the Vanguard Award.
The 13th annual Make-Up Artists and Hair Stylists Guild Awards will take place on Saturday, Feb. 14 in Los Angeles.
