Man faces court after alleged Boxing Day murder in remote NT
A 39-year-old man appears in court charged with the stabbing murder of a man in a remote Northern Territory community north of Alice Springs.
A man has faced court charged with the murder of a 35-year-old man in a remote Northern Territory community 200 kilometres north-west of Alice Springs.
Greg Shaun Williams, 39, faced the Alice Springs Local Court on Monday after the death of the other man in Laramba on Boxing Day following an alleged assault.
On the day of the incident, an NT Police spokesperson said emergency services received a report that a 35-year-old had been stabbed at about 4:40am, resulting in serious chest injuries.

He was taken to the local health clinic but died a short time later.
The following day, police said they had arrested a 39-year-old man 140km away in Yuendumu "without incident".
He was charged with the 35-year-old's murder on December 28.
Mr Williams has been remanded in custody until the case returns to court on April 2 next year.
