Man in custody after 17-year-old shot in South Hobart
A man is in custody, and a 17-year-old boy is in a critical but stable condition after being shot in Hobart overnight.
A man is in custody, and a 17-year-old boy is in a critical but stable condition after being shot in Hobart overnight.
Police were called to a residence on Syme Street in South Hobart after reports of a disturbance shortly before 1:20am.
A short time later, a 17-year-old presented to the Royal Hobart Hospital with a gunshot wound to his back.
Police have arrested a man who is being questioned by detectives.

A shotgun has been recovered, and a crime scene remains in place in Syme Street.
Police believe some people witnessed the incident and are urging anyone with information to contact them on 131 444 or via Crime Stoppers.
More information is expected to be provided by police on Monday afternoon.
The incident follows several other shootings in Greater Hobart over the past fortnight.
