AC Milan have completed the signing of Niclas Fullkrug on a loan deal from West Ham United for the remainder of the season.
The Athletic reported on December 22 the Germany international had been given permission to undergo a medical, after Milan entered the market for a No 9 as Santiago Gimenez required surgery for an ankle injury.
Milan hold the option of making Fullkrug’s move permanent in the summer transfer window.
The 32-year-old joined West Ham from Borussia Dortmund in a £27million ($36.1m) move and signed a four-year deal in August 2024, but scored just three goals — the most recent of which came in April — across 29 appearances for the east London club.

Fullkrug made nine appearances across all competitions in 2025-26, four of which have come since the appointment of Nuno Espirito Santo as head coach in September but the former Dortmund striker did not score a goal or provide an assist in that run.
The striker has not been selected in Julian Nagelsmann’s Germany squad since September, being overlooked for the international camps in October and November.
He scored 49 times in 124 appearances over two spells with Werder Bremen, while scoring 15 goals and providing 10 assists for Dortmund in 2023-24, preceding his move to England.
Milan are second in Serie A, one point behind rivals Inter.
The club terminated the contract of former Liverpool striker Divock Origi, who had not played in 20 months, in December.
