Police are hunting for a Logan man after a missing woman was found dead at his residence in the early hours of Monday morning.
The 46-year-old woman from Ashgrove was reported missing by family about 1am on Monday.
She was last seen at The Gap about 7pm on Saturday.
Investigations led police to a property on Waterford Tamborine Road in Buccan, south of Brisbane, to conduct a welfare check about 2.30am on Monday.
The woman was found dead and her body showed injuries, police said.
The man, who was known to the woman, was not at the property when police conducted a welfare check.
A crime scene was declared and police said they were awaiting the results of a postmortem examination to determine the cause of death.
Queensland Police Minister Dan Purdie said the sudden death was “a tragic circumstance” and the homicide squad was involved in the investigation.
