NBA Insider Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson revealed some major information about the probability of LeBron James’ future in the league. Recently, there were rumors that the athlete was in talks for a trade during the last offseason.
However, the claims were brushed off. But recently, the NBA Insider’s recent statement completely changes everything. Brandon claimed that the trade conversations were indeed “very real.”These conversations started last summer. Brandom claims that Rich Paul of Klutch Sports got involved in serious discussions with at least four teams during the offseason for a potential trade. It is quite evident that nothing has turned out to be concrete as of now.
But the fact that LeBron James is playing on an expiring contract opens up multiple possibilities for the next season.

NBA Insider Brandon Robinson made stunning claims recently. These claims involved the CEO of Klutch Sports, Rich Paul and the NBA legend LeBron James himself. As per the claims, Brandon stated, “I’ve been told by multiple high-level league sources that the rumors regarding a potential LeBron James trade over the summer weren’t just ‘smoke’ or typical off-season filler.”
He further added, “They were, in the words of those involved, ‘very real.
’”
Paul got into a serious discussion with at least four teams during the off-season. These teams were the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Golden State Warriors, the Los Angeles Clippers and the Dallas Mavericks. During the initial phase of his career, James was with the Cavaliers from 2003 to 2010 and from 2014 to 2018. In 2018, the athlete got traded to the Los Angeles Lakers and has been creating history ever since.
What happens after the 2025-2026 season?
LeBron James will enter the free agency period after the 2025-2026 season. This opens up a lot of possibilities for the legend. Either he can decide to stay back with the Los Angeles Lakers and play another season alongside Luka Doncic or he can go for one of the four other teams that Paul had a discussion with.James still has the possibility of ending his career right where he started, with the Cleveland Cavaliers. The veteran would also have the option to unite with Stephen Curry, a long-awaited union by the fans.
