For many stars it was unlikely to be an early start after a night of partying to ring in the New Year.

But for a select few it was still up with the larks, with new parents Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo among the first risers on the first day of 2026.

Following the birth to their son Ziggy last month, Jamie and Sophie showed that unlike many stars enjoying a lie-in, they were up bright and early with their baby boy.

Alongside sharing her New Year wishes with her followers, Sophie took to Instagram Stories to share snaps of herself holding Ziggy.

She wrote: 'Happy New Year everyone!!! 2025 - thank you for best thing that ever happened to me, what I will always be most proud of and the missing piece to the puzzle.'

Jamie also shared a snap of his son nestled in his Moses basket, writing: 'Happy New Year from us two gangsters.'

He then shared an adorable video of himself cuddling the newborn in bed, writing: 'Honestly this might be the most toxic relationship I've ever had. One cuddle and I forget all about last night.'

It was a stark contrast to many other stars, who the night before were out in force to celebrate the New Year and gave fans a glimpse into their lavish festivities on social media. 

As 2025 drew to a close, a whole host of celebrities were dressed to impress to ring in 2026, and Amanda Holden ensured she was leading the way courtesy of her incredible Victoria Beckham gown. 

The plunging blue dress, which retails at £1,290, fully exposed her cleavage as she posed alongside husband Chris Hughes and their two daughters, Lexi, 19, and Hollie, 13, for a New Year snap.  

Amanda, 54, and her family partied with the presenter's best friend Alan Carr as they ushered in the New Year by quaffing flutes of champagne. 

And they were not alone in celebrating the occasion, with Elizabeth Hurley 60, putting on a loved-up display with boyfriend Billy, 64, as they joined her son Damian, 23, for a dinner by the fire.
