“Roku City,” the streaming platform’s looping animated screensaver, has unveiled a new “Live From Roku City” performance featuring songs from the Wicked sequel. Officially dubbed “Live From Roku City Celebrates Wicked: For Good,” the featurette includes an all-new musical dance number to “Wonderful,” choreographed by the film’s lead choreographer, Christopher Scott, as well as a new version of “For Good,” performed by the MUSCYA Children’s Choir (Musical Youth of California). “Wonderful” is originally performed by the Wizard and Elphaba in the film, while “For Good” is of course, the penultimate song in the musical and movie, sung as a duet between Elphaba and Glinda.
Roku users can watch the Wicked: For Good performances through Roku City, which is now in more than half of all U.S. broadband homes, per the company. You can access the new content by scrolling over to the settings section of your Roku device and then selecting Roku City as your screensaver. What we like: you can now also stream Wicked: For Good directly through your Roku device as well, by renting or purchasing the film. You have 24 hours to finish the film if you rent it, or you can purchase a digital download of the musical sequel that is yours to keep.
