Bengaluru police have mandated that New Year's Eve celebrations at commercial establishments must conclude by 1 am. Venues are prohibited from exceeding their holding capacity and must close entry once full, with no waiting allowed outside. Offensive songs and slogans are banned, and security measures including screening and fire safety are compulsory.

BENGALURU: City police have warned hotels, pubs, other commercial establishments, and event organisers not to allow crowds beyond the holding capacity at their venues and all parties must end by 1 am for New Year’s Eve (NYE) and New Year celebrations.Speaking to TOI, city police commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh said: “If their venue is full, they must display a board, saying entry is closed. We have told them that they should not ask the revellers to wait outside or on the pavements.”

He further caiutioned: “The songs played or slogans shouted during the celebrations must not hurt religious or other sentiments of anyone. Also, no crackers or explosives should be used inside commercial establishments.”City police have also said that those partying at unlicensed venues must obtain a temporary licence from the authorities concerned.
