One child is dead and another is in hospital after a Christmas holiday fire on Sunday.
A probe into what caused the blaze continues after Kent Fire and Rescue Service were rushed to the scene on White Admiral Way, in Hamstreet, Ashford, around midday yesterday.
Six fire engines and a height vehicle were deployed to the semi-detached property, where crews worked to extinguish the fire, which had spread throughout the home.
Tragically, one child died at the scene, and another was taken to hospital. An adult was also rushed to A&E.
Three firefighters also suffered injuries and were rushed to the hospital, but were later released.
Photos of the scene show the charred remains of a home.
Ann Millington, KFRS' Chief Executive, said on Sunday night: 'Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with everyone affected by this tragic incident, especially the child's loved ones.
'We understand this will be a distressing time for the local community and support is available at a welfare hub set up at Hamstreet Village Hall.'
