Pakistan-based terror handler’s property attached in Poonch
Jammu and Kashmir Police have attached agricultural land worth Rs 10 lakh belonging to Pakistan-based terror handler Rafiq Nai. Nai, a launch commander for Tahreek-ul-Mujahideen / Jammu Kashmir Ghaznavi Force, is accused of supervising narcotics and weapons smuggling and facilitating terrorist infiltration. This action is part of a strategy to dismantle terror support networks.

JAMMU: In a major offensive against cross-border terrorism and its support networks, Jammu and Kashmir Police have attached property of a Pakistan-based terror handler under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act.
Rafiq Nai is the launch commander of banned terror outfit Tahreek-ul-Mujahideen / Jammu Kashmir Ghaznavi Force.“The accused is actively involved in supervision of narcotics and weapons smuggling, facilitation of infiltration of trained terrorists, and revival of terrorist activities in the Poonch-Rajouri sector,” a police spokesperson said on Thursday. Rafiq, a “designated individual terrorist”, is wanted in multiple serious criminal cases, he added.The attached property is an agricultural land worth about Rs 10 lakh at Nar village in Poonch district’s Mendhar tehsil. The police action is part of a “sustained strategy to dismantle the financial, logistical, and support infrastructure of terrorist networks, and to ensure that individuals involved in anti-national and terror-related activities are deprived of their resources,” the spokesperson said.
