Pelicans' Jose Alvarado, Suns' Mark Williams ejected for throwing punches
Williams took exception to a foul by Alvarado and pushed him in the back. Alvarado responded by shoving Williams back.

New Orleans Pelicans guard Jose Alvarado and Phoenix Suns center Mark Wiliams were both ejected from Saturday night’s game in New Orleans after exchanging blows.
The altercation between Alvarado and Williams started with 2:06 left in the third quarter after Alvarado was called for a foul for running into Williams on a screen.
Williams took exception to Alvarado’s foul and pushed him in the back. Alvarado responded by pushing Williams, and a fight broke out for a few seconds before players from both sides rushed in to separate them.

The Suns were up 87-83 at the time of the altercation in a chippy game between the Suns and Pelicans that came one night after Phoenix beat the Pelicans in New Orleans, 115-108.
There will almost certainly be further disciplinary actions coming from the league in the coming days.
Williams had 10 points and eight rebounds when he was ejected. Alvarado left with seven points and three assists.
