Reality TV star and DJ Maycon Douglas found dead on beach as heartbroken girlfriend pays tribute

A reality star and DJ has been found dead at a beach in Portugal after disappearing on New Year's Eve.
Brazilian-born Maycon Douglas, 26, was lest seen DJing at a bar in the coastal town of Nazare before heading home with a friend.
A week later - on January 7 - his body was found by a local fisherman washed up on the beach.
Just days before his body was discovered, cops had located his car in a nearby spot.
Maycon's mother, after days of anguish without news of her son, fell ill and needed to be hospitalised the day before his body was found.
The DJ found fame on season 8 of the Portuguese reality show 'Secret Story - Casa dos Segredos' broadcast by TVI.
He built up an online following on Instagram and TikTok where he had 50,000 and 22,000 followers respectively.
His last post was on December 30, the day before his disappearance.

He wrote: '2025 was intense. We learned a lot, and lived even more.
'2026 is about vision, discipline, and consistency.'
His heartbroken girlfriend Raquel Coelho has paid tribute to him on social media.
She said: 'I would give anything to have you back, anything.
'You appeared in my life unexpectedly, and you don't know how grateful I am that you did.'
Although Brazilian, Maycon had lived in Portugal since he was four years old.
The police are waiting for the results of an autopsy to establish his exact cause of death.
They haven't yet ruled out the possibility of foul play.
