Roborock’s all-terrain robot mower gets ready for XXXL lawns with LiDAR vision
And the ease of riding over bigger obstacles than before.

TL;DR
- Roborock has announced three new robot lawn mowers, including RockMow X1, X1 LiDAR, and RockNeo Q1.
- The RockMow X1 and X1 LiDAR offer upgrades to last year’s model with better off-roading capabilities and improved laser vision on the latter.
- The RockNeo serves as the more general-purpose model with some of the best features of the X1 series.
At CES 2026, Roborock revealed a significant breakthrough with its Saros Rover robot vacuum, giving it arms so it can easily go up or down stairs. But while doing so, it hasn’t forgotten your lawn and is introducing enhancements that allow its robot mowers to move more freely.
After announcing its first set of robot lawn mowers at IFA last year, Roborock is here with a new lineup for 2026. That includes the RockMow X1, the X1 LiDAR, and RockNeo Q1.
Of the three, the RockMow X1 series builds on last year’s Z1 all-wheel-drive lawn mower with improved obstacle-avoidance features, including the ability to ride over obstructions up to 3.1 inches high. The X1 series can easily mow over patches of grass at up to an 80% slope (with a ~39º angle).
RoboMow X1 vs. X1 LiDAR

The big differentiator between the standard RockMow X1 and the X1 LiDAR (as apparent from the title) is their vision system. While the standard variant uses four cameras to chart its route, the more advanced variant uses a 360º LiDAR system and two cameras to survey objects at distances up to 230 feet, with a claimed data capture rate of 200,000 points per second.
The sensory data from the X1 LiDAR is used alongside VSLAM to create and remember pathways in your lawn. Meanwhile, the standard RockMow X1 uses full-band RTK for precise mapping. Both of these models also support 4G LTE connectivity and can be geofenced to your house’s actual boundary or locked to a specific zip code. Roborock will also bring “AI-Powered Mapping” via an OTA update in the future, allowing the mowers to mark your house’s boundary automatically.

For additional theft protection, the RockMow X1 series also features a loud theft alarm that activates when it is moved or lifted above the owner’s set fence height. Both models are also IPX6 rated, so they can navigate through puddles or mud, or can be washed afterwards. The mowers also come with a rain sensor so they can automatically return to base.
Coming to their coverage, the RockMow X1 can cover up to three-fourths of an acre (3,000m2) in 24 hours, while the LiDAR variant covers up to half an acre (2,000m2) in the same duration.
RockNeo Q1

In addition to the rugged options, the RockNeo Q1 offers a more holistic solution with only the most essential features. It provides dual vision, full‐band RTK + VSLAM for mapping, and the same precision cutting for short 1-inch blades of grass.
Although it can’t climb over obstacles like its all-terrain siblings, the RockNeo Q1 still manages to skip over smaller ones that measure up to 1.4 inches in height and can climb up to 45% slopes (~24º) with ease. The RockNeo Q1 is also IPX6-rated and can cover up to a fourth of an acre (1,000m2) in a day.
Like the RockMow X1 models, the RockNeo Q1 also features geofencing and theft protection features along with 4G connectivity. It will also receive an AI mapping upgrade later this year, though it would still require some manual inputs from owners.
Availability
Roborock has withheld details about the pricing of the three new models, but says the RockMow X1 series and the RockNeo Q1 will be available in the US sometime in 2026. More details about the exact availability should follow soon.
