Ryanair plane forced to turn around mid-flight after emergency - passengers reveal it was like 'something out of a horror movie'

A Ryanair plane was forced to turn around and return to its original airport mid-flight after an emergency.
The aircraft jetted off from Birmingham Aiport to Tenerife South on Sunday, December 28 at around 2.50pm on flight FR-1121, according to The Aviation Herald.
However, the journey went awry when the plane was flying over Brittany, France and hit turbulence.
Crew members onboard the Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft were reportedly performing cabin service when the turbulence occured and some passengers were injured, reports.
The plane proceeded to to do a U-turn and returned to Birmingham when a 7700 squawk - declaring a general emergency - was issued.
It landed back on UK soil around one hour and 32 minutes after it originally departed.
According to the Express, one passenger described the scenes as 'like something you see on a horror movie'.
She added: 'We were smooth cruising then out of nowhere all of a sudden the plane jerked to the left extremely quickly and then to the right, it felt like a loss of control, and then we plummeted down and we were flung out of our seats.'

The passenger was 'physically unharmed' but explained the 'mental toll' the incident has had on her and said it has 'traumatised' her.
After landing in Birmingham, passengers were given medical attention and the flight set off again at 9.06pm.
Ryanair stated: 'FR1121 from Birmingham to Tenerife on 28th December returned to Birmingham Airport shortly after take-off due to air turbulence.
'The aircraft landed normally before passengers disembarked and returned to the terminal, where a small number of passengers were provided with medical assistance. This flight continued to Tenerife at 21:06 local.'
