As PC building becomes more and more infeasible due to the AI boom, gaming laptops are emerging as a great way to combat the ongoing component crisis. They still feature excellent performance, and often better screens than what you would've used otherwise. We've spotted a deal just like that: Lenovo's Legion 5 (Gen 10) for as low as $1,137 when configured with an RTX 5070 — the lowest price we've seen for that GPU paired with an OLED display.
Lenovo Legion models can get a bit confusing, so this is a Legion 5 (Gen 10) with a 115W RTX 5070, paired with AMD's 8-core Ryzen AI 7 350 processor, along with 16 or 32GB of DDR5-5600 RAM. There are two M.2 slots regardless of whether you select 512GB or 1TB of storage. Those specs combined will give you great performance across gaming and productivity workloads, with an 80Wh battery powering the entire setup.
The star of the show, however, is that gorgeous 15.1-inch 165Hz OLED display. It has a 2560 x 1600 resolution stretched across a 16:10 aspect ratio. You get 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space, as well as Dolby Vision support in the handful of apps that can deliver Vision content. It's certified with VESA's DisplayHDR True Black 600 certification, ensuring peak brightness of at least 600 nits and a true black levels that are a given with OLED technology.
Housing this screen is a sleek design that doesn't lean too heavily into its gamer-focused aesthetics. The device is light at just 4.1lbs and features mixed plastic and aluminum construction. It has 24-zone RGB keyboard, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, plenty of fast USB-C and USB-A ports, ethernet, along with an HDMI 2.1 port. The only thing missing is an SD card slot. On top of the screen, you get a 1080p webcam with a dedicated switch for Lenovo's E-Shutter that mechanically disconnects the internal webcam.

While we haven't reviewed this particular model, we did take a look at the Framework Laptop 16 which features the same hardware combo. The benchmarks above are from that review, and they should give you a good idea of the kind of performance you can expect. Lenovo's Legion range are typically high performers for the components they pack, and they're generally considered a good value in the community.
