Melbourne socialite Brynne Edelsten has fronted court to answer drug charges after officers allegedly found commercial quantities of illicit substances in her home.
Victoria Police alleged significant amounts of meth, ketamine and a date rape drug were discovered inside Edelsten's property in Fitzroy, inner-city Melbourne, on Monday.
The 42-year-old mother cried as she heard prosecutors argue she was part of a wider drug trafficking ring.
Officers were tipped off to an alleged smuggling operation in October when one of Edelsten's co-accused allegedly sent parcels containing meth from Victoria to Tasmania.
The court heard it could take up to 12 months for Edelsten's phone to be forensically analysed, which would reveal the extent of her alleged involvement, reported 7News.
When approached by the media outside court, Edelsten referred all questions to her lawyer.
The former reality TV star looked dishevelled in a pair of thongs, colourful shorts and a baggy jumper outside the courtroom.
Edelsten arrived in the country from America in 2008 ahead of her wedding to the late eccentric multi-millionaire Australian businessman Geoffrey Edelsten in November 2009.

She has spent recent years out of the spotlight after she was dramatically arrested and charged with trafficking and possessing ice in May 2021.
In April 2022, those charges were dropped.
However, Magistrate Brett Sonnet didn't mince words with the socialite in the courtroom on Tuesday.
He alleged Edelsten is either a 'significant user or a significant trafficker' given her home was a 'treasure trove of drugs'.
She has been charged with trafficking and possessing meth and possessing a schedule four poison.
Edelsten denied any knowledge of the drugs allegedly in her home and was visibly distressed throughout the hearing.
Her mother joined the hearing via video link and said she'd be willing to travel from Arizona to Melbourne to help her daughter.
Edelsten was granted bail on the condition she reports to a police station three days a week.
