S&P 500 Rises 16% in 2025, Despite Ending on a 4-Day Skid

The stock market wrapped its third-straight year of gains with a bit of a skid.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 304 points, or 0.6%, on Wednesday. The S&P 500 was down 0.7%. The Nasdaq Composite was down 0.8%. All three ended the year with a four-day losing streak.

This was the first time since the Nasdaq was created in 1971 that the Dow, S&P, and Nasdaq all ended the same year on a losing streak of four days or more.
