An overnight police chase across multiple suburbs has ended with the arrest of three teenagers after an alleged aggravated carjacking in Melbourne's south-east.
Officers say two males, aged 17 and 16, and one female, 13, were allegedly armed with a knife when they approached a car on Blackwood Drive in Hampton Park at about 12.55am on Sunday.
They allegedly threatened the 76-year-old male driver and demanded his keys before fleeing in the car.
Neither the driver nor the other occupants of the car — two women aged 51 and 77 — were physically harmed in the incident.

The allegedly stolen car was tracked by police to the Dandenong area, where it was dumped on Heatherton Road.
The teenagers then allegedly got into another car, drove away, and were pursued by police through multiple suburbs along the Monash Freeway.
Police helicopter vision then shows the car coming to a stop on the Princes Highway in Pakenham, where it was quickly surrounded by several officers on foot who arrested the occupants.
The 16-year-old male has been remanded and charged with offences including theft of a motor vehicle, handling stolen goods, and dangerous driving while pursued by police. He faced the Children's Court on Sunday afternoon.
The 17-year-old male and 13-year-old girl have been bailed and charged with offences including theft of a motor vehicle and handling stolen goods. They will appear at Dandenong Children's Court on January 23.
