Prabhas starrer 'The Raja Saab' saw a big fall at the box office on its second day. The film earned Rs 27.83 crore on Day 2 across all languages after a strong opening. This is a sharp drop from the Rs 53.75 crore it collected on Day 1.In just two days the film has collected Rs 90.73 crore India net as reported by the Sacnilk website. Occupancy numbers show mixed response
'The Raja Saab' had an overall 44.00% Telugu occupancy on Saturday. Morning shows started low at 28.95%. But evening and night shows improved with night shows touching 51.25%.
Hindi occupancy stayed weak at 12.95% overall. Morning shows were just 6.72%. While night shows improved to 19.45%. Tamil occupancy was 21.11% with night shows doing better at 34.43%.
Language-wise numbers tell the story
Telugu version led the collections with Rs 22.38 crore on day 2. Hindi version earned Rs 5.2 crore. Tamil brought in Rs 15 lakhs.Kannada and Malayalam versions earned Rs 6 lakhs and Rs 4 lakhs respectively. The Telugu collections stand at Rs 78.68 crore in 2 days.
Hindi at Rs 11.2 crore. Tamil at Rs 55 lakhs. Kannada at Rs 16 lakhs and Malayalam at Rs 14 lakhs. Telugu market is clearly carrying the film while other languages are slow.
Audience reviews
The film tries a fantasy-driven idea which is not very common in mainstream Telugu cinema.
