Logitech's latest premium office headset, the Zone Wireless 2 ES, aims to improve focus in the workplace with adaptive hybrid ANC, a comfortable fit, and the "works-out-of-the-box" ethos Logitech is known for.
This year's Zone model improves on previous iterations with longer battery life, enhanced noise cancellation, and a more comfortable fit. It's a well-designed headset, with practical features and an emphasis on comfort.

The adjustable fabric strap that wraps the solid headband is soft and lightweight, eliminating hair pulls or awkward pinching when you turn your head or adjust it. The earcups are symmetrical, allowing you to wear them either way, with the microphone on the right or left.
Logitech made this headset for the noisy office, a fact most evident in its active noise cancellation. It's quite good for an office headset, aided by the plush earcups I mentioned earlier, which feel like pillows for your ears and effectively drown out ambient sound.
This isn't the all-encompassing ANC of a premium pair of headphones, but it does a surprisingly good job at mitigating ambient noise around you, especially low to medium levels of noise, voice chatter, and foot traffic.

The ANC is adaptive, meaning the headset automatically adjusts the level of noise cancellation based on the level of noise it's picking up; however, you'll probably still want to be able to control it with the physical controls.
Luckily, it couldn't be easier to do so. Toggling ANC or swapping to transparency mode is done by tapping the sole button on the ear opposite the mic (just tap once -- holding it down doesn't activate it). Transparency mode is also particularly effective, allowing your voice to remain open and natural, which is something I look for in a headset, as I dislike having my voice muffled during calls.
The audio in the headset has been clear and responsive in my testing, thanks to the 40mm speaker drivers. Music is also surprisingly good, with punchy bass and distinct mids. Paired with the ANC, they even held up on the subway here in New York, although unlike gaming headsets, you can't detach the mic.

A small thing: when you're listening to music and rotate the mic to the 90-degree position, it doesn't interrupt the music to announce "Muted". Thank you for that, Logitech.
In terms of the headset's battery (for the wireless model), Logitech advertises 20 hours of talk time with ANC on, or 25 hours of listening time, with five minutes of charging power for one hour. In my testing, I found this to be generally accurate, as I only charged it once during the two-week testing period. Upon power-on, the headset also displays a specific percentage of charge, rather than a vague indicator, which is another small touch I appreciate.

The wireless headset supports multipoint Bluetooth connectivity, allowing you to connect to your smartphone and laptop simultaneously, reflecting how people actually use headsets in the office or while working from home.
In terms of compatibility, the headset works with Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, iOS, iPadOS, and Android devices via Bluetooth.
The headset comes in black, white, and pink colorways. I have the white version, and although the matte finish resists fingerprints, I do wonder how it will hold up a year or two down the line. If you have similar concerns, I'd suggest opting for the black version, which can hide smudges or stains, but might make fingerprints more visible.

Lastly, because of the headset's physical design prioritizing comfort, I can't help but feel that it looks slightly bulky when worn. It's certainly not a big headset -- especially when compared to something like the Sony WH-1000XM6 or a gaming headset-- but it's definitely bigger than my other preferred office headset, the Epos Impact 500, which is positively svelte in comparison.
ZDNET's buying advice
The Logitech Zone Wireless 2 ES is one of the most comfortable office headsets you can ask for. Additionally, the audio quality is excellent, and the ANC is sufficient for an office environment.
If you spend long days on calls, your ears will appreciate the plush, pillowy earcups. I find the design to be a little plump, but the comfort is worth the trade-off.
At $159, they're not cheap, but they're far from the most expensive on the market, and it's a fair price for a product from a trusted brand that will last.
