This could be the date when you can buy the Samsung Galaxy S26 – and it's later than normal
We've heard rumors about a February launch for the Galaxy S26 series, but it might not go on sale right away.

- The Galaxy S26 could go on sale on March 11
- That would follow a launch announcement on February 25
- We're expecting to see three models
Samsung has never managed to get its flagship Galaxy phones launching on a schedule that's quite as regular as the one Apple has stuck to with the best iPhones, and it would seem that in 2026 the dates will be changing up again.
According to Dealabs (via Wccftech), the Samsung Galaxy S26 series is going to be available to buy on Wednesday, March 11. That's going to follow on from a launch event that's been tipped to happen on Wednesday, February 25.
You may remember the Samsung Galaxy S25 phones were unveiled to the world on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. They could then be bought from Monday, February 3, almost a couple of weeks afterwards.
It's not unusual for the announcement dates and the on-sale dates to be different, but it looks very much like the 2026 Galaxy flagships are launching significantly later in the year than their 2025 counterparts – as has previously been rumored.

While we don't know for sure why the Galaxy S26 phones are launching later in the year than the handsets that came before them, there has been speculation that uncertainty over a successor to the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is part of the reason.
Those in the know say that the Galaxy S25 Edge hasn't sold particularly well (see also the super-thin ), so Samsung has decided to ditch it and bring back the Plus model – which Samsung was thinking of retiring, according to rumors.
