It's difficult, if not impossible, to predict how successful a public protest will be. There is no intelligence agency or algorithm that can foretell how a large group of civilians will act when on one hand there is an attempted coup from the grassroots, while on the other hand there is a regime known for resorting to lethal force in its effort to survive.
