Turkey: Seven officers injured in clash with suspected ISIS militants; special forces deployed

Seven Turkish police officers were wounded during a clash with suspected Islamic State (IS) militants in Yalova province in northwest Turkey, according to state broadcaster TRT Haber.Police teams from the Yalova Provincial Security Directorate launched an operation at a house near Elmalik village, in the central district, after receiving intelligence that IS members were present at the location. A shootout broke out during the raid, leaving seven officers injured.

The operation was supported by special operations units deployed from the neighbouring province of Bursa.The injured officers were taken to hospital and are not believed to be in a serious condition.
