Two pensioners in their 80s have perished in a house fire in Ireland's County Sligo.
Emergency services were called to the property in the seaside village of Easkey at around 11am today.
The two men, who have not been identified, were sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
No other deaths or injuries were reported by emergency services.
Gardai told the Daily Mail that investigations are ongoing, adding that the scene is 'currently preserved for technical examination'.
A spokesperson said: 'Post-mortem examinations will take place in due course, the outcome of which will determine the course of the investigation'.
Earlier this month, a four-year-old boy and a 60-year-old woman who were killed in a house fire in Ireland were pictured for the first time.
Little Tadhg Farrell and Mary Holt died after a 'callous and murderous' blaze engulfed their family home in County Offaly, Ireland.

A murder investigation has now been launched by the Gardai as it's thought the fire was started deliberately.
Emergency services rushed to the house on Castleview Park in Edenderry at around 7.45pm on December 6.
Another woman in her 50s escaped the fire and is being treated in hospital for serious injuries.
The following day, the Gardai said they had commenced a murder investigation during a press conference at Edenderry Garda Station.
Supt Liam Geraghty described the fire as 'a reckless, callous and murderous attack on a family home'.
He said they believe that the house was attacked by a person or persons unknown at this time and that the fire was deliberately started.
Irish Minister for Justice Jim O'Callaghan strongly condemned what he described as a 'deliberate callous attack' on the house.
