At the deposition, Vanessa Bryant opened up about the pain that followed immediately after.As per The New York Times, Kobe Bryant’s wife, Vanessa Bryant, said, "I was holding onto my phone, because obviously I was trying to call my husband back, and all these notifications started popping up on my phone, saying 'RIP Kobe. RIP Kobe. RIP Kobe…’”The popular philanthropist added, "My life will never be the same without my husband and daughter…”Kobe Bryant’s wife, Vanessa Bryant, also opened up about how she had initially thought that the NBA legend and their daughter, Gianna Bryant, had survived the crash, when she heard of the accident.However, as luck would have it, as per reports, Kobe Bryant and Gianna Bryant tragically passed away as soon as the crash happened.In February 2023, Kobe Bryant’s wife, Vanessa Bryant, won the lawsuit she filed against the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and was paid a whopping $29 million in settlement.
