Watch: Four men rescued from boat teetering on dam edge
SOURCE:BBC World
According to reports, the boat had suffered motor failure before drifting to the edge of the dam
Footage shows captured the moment four men were pulled to safety, after spending hours dangling off the edge of a 40m (130ft) dam in South Africa.
Rescuers from the National Sea Rescue Institute (NRSI) arrived at the Grootdraai Dam in Mpumalanga on Monday after reports that a boat had suffered motor failure, before drifting to the edge of the dam.
The NRSI credited quick-thinking employees who opened sluice gates on the spillway, to stop the boat being swept away by the heavy waterflow. The men were reportedly uninjured.
