Oura’s long-awaited portable charging case is now officially available for purchase. We first covered the accessory back in October when it was announced alongside the Oura Ring 4 Ceramic collection, and while we’d hoped to see it hit shelves by the end of 2025, an early January arrival is close enough.

Portable charging cases aren’t a novel idea (brands like RingConn and Samsung already offer their own), but this launch closes a noticeable gap in Oura’s accessory lineup.

The new charging case uses a compact, clamshell-style design with a built-in battery that holds up to five full ring charges. That means users can top up on the go without access to a wall outlet, theoretically making travel and daily charging habits more convenient.

The case also doubles as a storage solution, keeping the ring protected when it’s packed in a bag or even while it’s just resting on your bedside table.

When the case itself needs power, it recharges via USB-C in roughly 90 minutes. Powering up a ring with the case takes 20 to 80 minutes, depending on the ring’s battery state when it is dropped onto the charging post. The charger’s design also features an LED indicator for at-a-glance status checks and syncs with the Oura app to provide more precise battery levels.

As smart rings continue to compete on comfort, battery life, and everyday usability, accessories like this play a growing role. And yet, at $99, the charging case isn’t a cheap add-on. With that said, it could be a practical investment for the right shopper. The charger is compatible with both the Oura Ring 4 and Ring 4 Ceramic, and like Oura’s standard chargers, is size-specific.
